Mandarava
The life story of Princess Mandarava is part of
the Tibetan Buddhist life story tradition. Princess
Mandarava was a great practitioner of the Dharma
whose life story has many parallels with the life
of the Buddha. She was the first wife of Padmasambhava
(Guru Rinpoche) who brought Buddhism to Tibet.
This gripping story is told using words from Buddhist
texts and teachings and is brought to life through
music and evocative soundworlds.
The music for this show is inspired by Indian Raga’s
and Tibetan flute melodies.
