Rachel
Miller is a musician, composer and
storyteller who brings tales to life through
beautiful music and evocative sonic textures.
Each show is carefully composed and structured
and she uses a wide variety of instruments
including an electronic set up that allows
her to sample and create the musical textures
live.
As a musician, performer and teacher, Rachel has
a wide range of musical experience including jazz,
folk, classical, experimental and electronic music.
She teaches flute at Dartington College of Arts,
has a private teaching practice and runs various
teaching courses including courses in improvisation,
creative composition and music theory, as well
as creative workshops on music and mythology.
As a narrator and musician she has toured extensively
with one of the UK’s foremost puppet theatre
companies, PuppetCraft www.puppetcraft.co.uk.
She has also trained and worked for many years
as a registered music therapist. It is her experience
of profound communication through music that has
led her to explore musically the psychological
and spiritual aspects of archetypal myths and tales.
Gwen Woolley is
a poet and script writer. She is co-founder of
the popular poetry event One Night Stanza in Devon
and is part of a performance poetry duo called
Dangerous Cardigans.
